Not sure if this in the right place, but..

I was wondering if anyone knows a free alternative to the circuit simulator logic works?

I have some coursework that involves understanding quite a complex circuit, so I would like to be able to work on it at home, but am not really willing to pay for something that I'm only going to use once.

Thanks

EDIT: the file extension I'm trying to open is .cct

I use Cadence Orcad Capture. The free demo has everything I need. I dont know if it a .cct file will be compatible though.

Linux has some circuit simulation/design software, but I haven't played with it.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.
