Can we post them in the tutorial section? I gues not.
Is there a place for it?
I would be very interested in a tutorial of how to make this image in photoshop ->space by ~missstrublingstorm on deviantART
It's propably EXTREMELY simple but I fail at photoshop -.- only the sun/light thing would be something I could manage. How to get the circle of the planet's reflection thing is a mystery to me.
I was thinking of drawing a normal circle, and then drawing a 45° black gradient above it, so in the bottom left it's pure black, and nothing in the top right. But then there's still the gradient on the circle itself...

The easiest thing to do is to draw a black circle using the marquee tool and holding down the shift button to have a symmetrical circle. after you have the size you want right click and stroke with 1px black...then you can go to layer--layer style--outer glow..then after that..create new layer and go to render--lens flare

I always move non-tutorials out of the tutorials section, since they are generally just requests for info.

I somehow created a black line when adding the "sun/star". But i'm happy :)
This is propably the first time i created something in photoshop from scratch that i actually find 'beautiful', maybe a big word but i can't think of another :-P

very nice..did you add new layer then put the lens flare? another thing I would suggest is to add stars...you can do that simply by creating new layer by hitting shift+ctrl+n and go to filter--render-clouds then go to filter--noise--add noise and click on mono or something to make it black and white and just adjust settings

Good, sorry for my late responses here sometimes, but i'm not usually on a computer with PS CS3 installed.
So I tried the stars thing.. but i don't see how those 2 handlings "create" stars.
This is a new empty layer where i've added clouds (white background on new layer, not transparant or photosohp complains that there's nothign to render clouds on :glare: )

Then i add noise. I got no idea about what percentage i should put it. But none really seem to create stars .. in my opinion.. Or you could see it as a bunch of very closely packed stars.. ^^

try using "gaussiaans" and seeting the "hoeveel" all the way up...you need to mess with the settings some...after that you could use the soft eraser and erase parts and change the opacity of the eraser.
