Bah, title says all.
I tried saving New001.c at H:\WINDOWS\shellnew (H:\ is my XP directory. C:\ is Win 7's System Reserved and E:\ is the actual Win 7's drive) and using regedit to add My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.c\ShellNew and adding a string named FileName, with New001's location as the value. After restarting, nothing changes.
Later I tried creating a template via Tweak UI, nothing.

What's the problem? And how to fix it?

Just tried adding another extension(VBP) with Tweak UI, and it won't work. Also, I forgot to say that my OS is Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
