Ello all, been a while since i posted, but I have a couple questions.

I have recently been playing with a Zune(the iPod from microsoft) and wondering...
1. How hard is it to make a small OS like that of the Zune or Ipod touch.(with the touch screen too)
2. What language would I use for something like that.
3. What language is used to program electronics, like make them work together and such.

I think that's it, any help is appreciated.
Thank you. :)

1) A lot harder than you think it is. Take a look at the Android source code to get an idea.
2) Generally people use C, but I've seen OS software written in Java, C#, Lisp, and Pascal. It all depends on how much work you are willing to do.
3) You'll need to clarify this question. What electronics? What do you mean by 'work together'. My TV and PVR work together, is that what you mean?

Good point, I want to be able to like control stuff like timers and switches, and make it so a light might go on/off at different times or something, i assume that is programed and not just electronic right? lol
