We are now having a programming contest based on our open source software platform for robotics Urbi, which will be running until December 15. Urbi is primarily used in robotics but can also be used for video games or complex systems.

The only constraint is that participants must use Urbi open source in their project. You can download for free on our corporate website

The application process and the prizes are described on the contest page

Since we know not everyone will want to do exactly the same sort of project and you may not all be into robotics, we and our partners provide some software tools you can use for free during the whole contest:
-Gostai Studio Suite®, which includes the graphical tools Gostai Studio® and Gostai Lab®
-the Webots® simulator for robotics – a special Urbi Open Source contest edition
-Qt®/Urbi application development framework for GUI design (coming soon)
-Ogre®+Bullet® graphic engine bound to Urbi – for games or simulation

Participants only need post one video of their finished project and post the code they used on a Wiki page we create for them.

Now you know what it's all about, you only need to think about a project you'd like to submit!

Good luck to you all & thanks for reading!
