After trying out a Samsung Behold II (Android OS) for 5 months, I decided to finally move back to my old Blackberry Pearl Flip... Here are my reasons:
Pros of Behold II / Android:
- It's on Android
- It syncs with Google GMail, Contact, Calendar
- It looks pretty nice and slick
- Nice screen
- Integrated with Google Search
- Integrated with Google Map (with GPS and directions)
- Very nice camera (5.0 Mega Pixels)
- "Draw Pattern to Unlock" feature
Cons of Behold II / Android:
(This being my first touch-screen phone, I noticed the below)
- The tough screen is hard to use. I'm not sure if it's just this phone or all touch screens, but I have a hard time using it and always have to retype stuff
- It's so hard to use that I've completely stopped texting or calling while driving (this might be a "Pro")
- The Samsung GUI was not intuitive for me at all
- T9 does almost never picked what I wanted, so I turned it off
Verdict:
For now, I'm moving back to my Pearl Flip. When my contract is up in Jan 2011, I will most likely evaluate another Android phone.
Any suggestions?
