Today while playing around in NCH sound editor i discovered that once i had reduced the noise levels my microphone inside my computer was picking up a sound alot like un oiled chair lifts (you know the chairs on ski grounds) and way i was wondering if that could be my hard drive *gasp*?

Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).

If you can't hear your hard drive yourself, its most probably fine. Best way to make sure though would be to download an HDD test utility from the manufacturers website and run a scan on it. You can also look into Hirens Boot Disc, It has most of the manufacturer HDD test utilities on there as well as allot of other helpful applications.

Reason i haven't be around for a while:
Disk did a head dive and the Techies only recovered a couple of school files- non of my hard worked on scripts Oh Well :(

I use a cron script (or windows task manager in a windows user's case) to zip my project folders, and upload to my website under a locked folder, my dev laptop is at the end of its life, I can't risk it.
