Hello,
First I would like to say that English isn't my native language, so please don't be to hard on me because of my writing mistakes.
I am a complete newbie in the world of programming, but sometimes I have an idea which I want to put in reality. For example: I want to build a site (I have a little bit experience in making sites), where it is possible for the visitor to create his own personality (by using some parameters or just uploading a picture, I don't know what's being used usually). Then the visitor has to make his own house interior (you can consider it as a sort of game). I want it to be very close to reality, so it is important that I have the possibility to upload existing models of furniture. I think this is the difficult step: How can I create 3D and 360° models of existing furniture? I don't know what programmers normally use for this type of work (example: Breitling "View in 360").
So my question is: Which program do I have to learn to develop such a website?

This is way too big and complicated project for a beginner.
First, i would recommend to get a 3ds max (2010), complete a sequence of tutorials, and see what's 3d all about.
Also, there is no single program for this. There are many languages you need to know well: php or asp, javascript, html. And i don't know which language helps you display your 3d models in the net. Probably Java.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Using javascript, php, java etc isn't the problem. I can work with them.
When I buy/download 3ds max, will it be possible to insert specific existing models of furniture, like the watches on the Breitling site I gave as an example? And is it possible to implement the 3ds max result into a website?
Edit: wth, that program costs 3500 dollar...

Models on Breitling site aren't 3d, these are just sequence of pictures put together.
If you cannot get 3dsmax, there are free alternatives available, like Blender. Which i believe is actually much easier to begin with.
Yes, but it's not a "three lines of code" kinda work. You need some kind of renderer/engine online, which calculates, how the models are displayed.
If you need something as simple as Breitling 360 system, you can just take/render pictures of an object from every angle. That is easy to implement, but pictures take lot of storage room in your database. Plus the process of taking pictures is pretty dull.

Thank you for your reply. I'm now starting to work with that program. But as I was doing that, I was wondering: It seems that everything is determined by the maker of the blender animation. I want some more input of the visitor: The visitor has to choose where he goes to, has to create his own animation, etc... I doubt if that is possible with this program. But maybe I will be able in the future to fix that problem.
And good to know that they use several pictures to form a 360° image. Is this technique used too for more delicate objects like clothing etc?

I'm not familiar with 3d on the webpage, cannot help you any further. I can only tell you that if you implement the 3d using existing images, not realtime 3d rendering, you will get very limited program. Blender itself cannot help you online, it will only help you with creating models or render pictures of them.
