How do you like the new Wibiya toolbar (on the bottom of the page)? Do you find it useful? Is it in your way? Have you tried the YouTube integration?

To be honest, it reminds me of those annoying ads that pop up at the bottoms of YouTube videos. My first impulse when I see something like that is to try to get rid of it.

At first i did not like it at all. Once i figured out that you can hide it, it dose not seem so bad. Over time it may even be useful but i haven't had a reason to use it much yet.

When I'm in a thread, maybe writing something more verbose it's nice to uncollapse the toolbar, and hit "recent posts" to see what's up without opening another tab.

It makes whatever thread I'm scrolling through lag so bad. Is there a way to turn it off in our account so we dont have to deal with it?

The first thing I did was hide it. Now that i saw this post i decided to actually look at what it is :p
I like the recent posts but i'm not really used to opening stuff in the same window. I would love it if they could open in a new tab.
Youtube thingy looks fancy :D Useful however.. maybe it's not easy to find something as there seems to be no search function so you'll have to mouseover every video to see the title and what's it about.
I doubt the usefulness of random..
And i don't use twitter or facebook so not much for me to say about that :)
Voted: somewhat useful (if it opens in a new tab )

Yes, the bar is laggy sometimes.. mainly with the FB/Twitter connection. For the last 2 days, I noticed that the benefit is limited. The only upside I've seen is that more people are following our Twitter. I'll give it another week or so for the poll and see if we should slim down the buttons, display it only to guests, or just get rid of it all together.

I saw a bar with twitter and facebook, and hit the adblock button.

Just as a side note, we can add additional applications to the bar, if anyone is interested in looking for more something they might find useful, you can see a full list here Web Application Bank | Wibiya - we tested both chat applications since it has been a long requested feature, but currently there are JavaScript related issues that need to be resolved. So the chat may be implemented in the future.

FYI - on another thread (http://forum.codecal...-yahoo-msn.html), people are asking for a chat program. I'm going to put back the Wibiya chat (removing most of the other heavier apps) and see how it performs. This test will only run for a while until someone can do another profile for me of the performance. If it's not too heavy, we can keep it in. Otherwise, I'll remove it again.
