Some basic questions here. Once you become proficient in C# how do you prove that? What kind of certification do you take and how difficult is it to get.

Thanks

Have you checked out Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).

I don't have it, but I would imagine that employers who are looking at candidates (without solid work background) will view it positively.

I love how when you click on "View MCSD requirements" it shows you an entire list of classes that are required for you to take to get this certification. But on closer inspection you will notice that below 99.98% of the classes they list you see this little statement that says "This exam is retired"

The MCSD Certification is retired and not relevant past .NET 1.1/2.0. The certification that has replaced it is the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Nice. I think this cert would cost around $375. A little rich for my blood at the moment.
