I haven't gotten a laptop in a long time, but my brother recently bought an Acer and he seems to really like it.

Well... i can't tell you what to buy... but don't buy an ASUS Laptop. Maybe not all products are the same, but my laptop (ASUS) has less than 2 years and is damaged (a key is broken, cooler is sounds very loud.. etc)

I am very much sure you will throw away your sony Lap in a few months , they are worst when it comes to Lappy's. I would recommend a Dell or Hp .
