Alright, I have been working with computers for years as many of you may know.. But, this is just completely insane. I call dell (The ****ty company that made my computer) and they tell me they will not offer support unless I pay them $139 of course, and they wont even offer to help me with the hardware issues.

Now, I am mainly software not hardware and the AC adapters they have which are the worst things ever, blow out almost all the time so I am stuck without a laptop charger with a dead laptop..

So, now I can not fix the laptop without buying a dell laptop charger which I do not have the money for at the moments especially since they blow out as soon as you buy them..

(Any ideas for the charger?)

Secondly, my mother who is a complete genius fried my computer by powering it off as soon as it was turned on...

Now I am stuck with a "NTLDR (New Technology Loader) file is missing, press Ctr+Alt+Delete to restart" message.. Went to try and repair the files with a windows XP home edition disc and as soon as it goes to the Windows Setup Menu when it says (Loading Windows) after loading all the files on the disc I get a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH (YAY!.... -.-) This is what the BSOD says which I searched online and got little help..

STOP: 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XF748E0BF, 0XF78DA208, 0XF78D9F08)

pci.sys - Address F748E0BF base at F7487000, Datestamp 3b7d855c

Apparently its a service pack problem of some sort and I am not good with boot discs.. SO, If anyone here can help me out with telling me how to make a boot disc that will give me access to the files so I can back them up.. YOU WILL BE A GOD and I will plus rep you...

I have very important files on my laptop and I need to retrieve them without paying money if that is possible.. I can work on getting a new charger but I can NOT wipe this computer before retrieving the files which is possible I just do not remember how it has been so long.

I don't really have an idea of what's up with your computer but I know that if there are problems with your computer & you need files retrieved Puppy Linux can be a useful tool.
Try looking into that, that's the best I can do for you, sorry.

Yea when windows is f***ed up a linux boot cd usually does the trick to save files. Just download the iso. Burn it onto a disc, and upon booting you can choose "try without installing" or so.

Also microsoft says:

Quote

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x804E518E, 0xFC938104, 0xFC937E04)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

WUSB54GCx86.sys- Address 92D89498 base at 92D7c000, Datestamp 45c04cc9
Note The parameters and file names in this error message might vary, depending on the cause of the Stop error. The file name in the second line of the error message, WUSB54GCx86.sys, is an example of a driver file that might be causing the error.
So with you it might be caused by pci.sys which google leads me to your graphics card which leads me to the fact that indeed the boot cd needs XP SP2 to handle this...

On another forums this saved some of the people's life there ->Slipstreamed Windows XP CD Using SP2
