so i was thumbing throu the linux journal cool projects addition and i came across a pretty convenient little application. It's called Caffeine. It runs in your tray and allows you to keep your screen saver from coming on with-out having to disable it, it also stops the screen from going blank if screen saver is disabled. It is great for if you are watching tv on your comp or giving a presentation. You just double click the tray icon to enable/disable caffeine. I have been using it today for watching anime and it is wonderful not having to worry about shaking the mouse from time to time. The way the program works is that it simulates a key press event every 59 seconds to make it seem as if you are typing. You can set it to auto turn on when certain apps are running (power point for example). The app is 49 kb i believe so it doesn't take much room at all. Any way I thought some of you may be able to use it so i started this thread and have attached a zip file containing it.

Edit: this works on windows and linux; not sure about mac
