I used to have 200+ friends and now I believe I am below 200. I deleted quite a lot of people, even people that I knew for a few years. I now ketp my FB for fds and people I really know. ROFL
Why people use Facebook? There is no point of using it, seriously. It's just another form of "entertainment" that some people like to enjoy with.

I used to have over about 550 friends on facebook, but I've been deleting the ones I don't talk to often, getting me down to about 400. A good number, the rest I do talk to. It's great for social gatherings and for sharing interesting links I've found, but it irks me to no end when someone constantly posts useless crap about themselves...ALL DAY LONG.
Something witty here.

I usually go through and delete friends too... goes for IM's as well, usually if I don't remember who you are or have not talked to you in like a year I'll probably delete you.
I'm with John C though, add me if you want, but put your from CC or I'll probably reject you unless your real name looks like your CC name and I recognize it lol
