Hey guys, Been years trying to find such Programming Forum :D
Hope I'm sticking around a little 2 long xD
But I really need an urgent help, I'm trying to apply for this Course :
MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0, Web Applications
But The Requirements as U can see:

Quote

Recommended Knowledge :
•Familiar with C# or Visual Basic.net
•Familiar with .NET Framework
I'm good with C++, Still a Beginner but so far no Program was a trouble to me, even though scared of even trying 2 make Chess :D But I'm the Best Practical C++ Coder in my University for the students in my Age. So far I'v found tones of Tutorials for C#, but most are Windows Applications, my Question is: Do I need Windows Application Tutorials or wt Exactly? And what kind of Tutorials Should I be trying to get for the 2nd Requirement?
I'm Still Noobish but a fast Learner :D Would really appreciate your help guys, See you around. Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards,
Beeko.

P.S.: I Love this Geekish Smiley >>>>:D

First, that isn't requirements, it says recommended or have you taken it out of context?

And what do you mean with "Do I need Windows Application Tutorials"? If you mean a windowed application in Windows and that you don't work with a console at all, then yes probably, must of C# is based on that. And the second recommendation is automatically included in the normal C# tutorials I think since C# is based on the framework.

First off, Welcome to CodeCall!

Second off, I would say if you need to be familiar with two languages you don't really even have basic understanding of to take a course: wait until next year. Just by the name of the course it seems like they will assume you already know these languages and just get started right off with how to use them for web apps. If you think you can learn the languages as they teach you how to use them then I would check out a couple of tutorials. For C# check here, here, and here, and for VB.NET look here, http://www.programmi....com/vbnet.aspx, or here. Here, here, and here you can find .NET tutorials that will hopefully help ya out.

Happy Programming ^^

I worked with a guy in my C++ classes that couldn't stop telling me how much he loved C# and he always went on about the .NET framework and from what he showed me it looked like C# is based on doing Windows Applications and are also based on the .NET Framework. That's what I meant.

I do not know C# more than the little I learned trying to learn ASP.NET but just that shows that C# is closely tied to the .NET Framework.

So your taking it? lol tell me how it goes :D I don't know any of those languages, so I can no longer help you as far as learning goes, but I CAN point you to the C# programming section of our forums. I bet there are alot of knowledgeable people there that would be glad to help you out with what you need.
