I am planning to do some certification , currently i will be starting CCNA which my university is offering so i will be doing that , but is it worth it?I want to know what demand it has in Canada and USA . And apart from that Redhat certifications are better then that ? i know both are different but just wanted to get an idea about it

I've read a German article on CCNA which says that it's an internationally accepted certificate which helps you to get better jobs etc. I haven't really occupied myself with this topic, but I think that not all certificates are seriously necessary, but this one seems to be worth it.

CCNA and RHCE are completely different certs in completely different areas. Both are well respected, but will only help if you're into network administration.

CCNA is a good way to start long path of technical journey. CCNA --> CCNP --> CCIE
And there are other certifications available too. Like MCP, MCSE, MCSA.
All depend on which path you go.
I hope to do BCS certificate level and do CCNA and MCP.
