Alright, so a friend of mine has a .RAR file that is passworded and does not want to use any Dictionary / Brute-Froce software.. Is their any other way to open this file? I don't know if it helps but, he made the file and he put the password on it and he forgot it.. So, if anyone knows how I would appreciate it and +rep you.

The best thing he can do without brute forcing it is to write down all the passwords that he usually uses or has used at somepoint and go through them one by one

If you put wrong password or no password, the CRC fails, leaving your files corrupt. Therefore, there is no known way to bypass rar passwords.
