Please can someone help me. I have Avg free edition of antivirus and once i installed it the resident shield and email scanner deactivated and wont reactivate. I have windows XP home, con someone help me to get it to work?

I am not AVG user, but maybe i can give a little help to you.

• Have you checking AVG configuration for resident shield and email scanner appropiate?
  
• I think post the HiJackThis log maybe useful, but i don't fully understand with its result. Maybe other members more understand or you can post it to AVG forum. Please see here for HJT:

• Last possibility, maybe you should reinstall your AVG.

You have to make sure you get the updates.On the main AVG GUI click on start update.Should work.
