What is a good internet adapter for long distances?
By long distance, I mean from another apartment?
Their has to be one because my Wii get perfect internet, by my sh***y laptop will not connect at all.

Price shouldn't be much of a problem, under $50-60 preferably.

I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A ROUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM LOOKING FOR AN ADAPTER, EITHER A CARD OR USB PORTED.

Wirelessly, you'll need to buy a repeater (which is roughly $70->140, so out of your price range).

Wired, Ethernet crossover cables (what you're most likely using) are certified to reach 100-400m without dropping in too much signal quality depending on the quality, why not just buy a huge one? There is no "adapter" that you're wishing to get. The cost of a cable that large may range from $40->120.

Quick question: what tech is your Wii using, compared to your Laptop? G vs N WiFi is a huge difference, for example.
