Hey guys,

I am working on a code for a customer and I am trying to create a function for use when a user uploads a document.. I want it to insert the document into MySql using the blob and then I want to be able to pull that document and view it online.. I have yet to find out how to do this. I have searched high and low and still cannot create this **** script. Do any of you have an idea?

:rules::crying:

BLOB is a binary field, Are you wishing to upload a binary document, say PDF or .DOC and pull it out online or just a textual document? It would help if you provided us with more information, such as where you're having exact troubles so we can help you.
Be sure to read the updated FAQ! || Health is achieved through the same 10,000 steps.
If a suggested code/method fails, informing us is less important than telling us why or what errors occurred.

If you are doing this for a "customer" you should be experienced enough to figure this out yourself.

Also, if you searched this forum, let alone high and low, you would find exactly what you are trying to do. Just be sure to change the headers from an image to what ever you are uploading.

Thank you for your smart ass comment. I am plenty experienced in the work I perform. This was simply a request the customer had.

I am simply expressing my frustration with my inability to earn a living as a freelance developer due to the competition from incompetent "programmers" who insist on undercutting the prices of experienced developers.

I can assure you, that is not what my intentions are. I am fully and completely capable of coding an entire website from start to finish with php and mysql. If you are hinting that I am incompetent, you need to take a second look.

What I can't stand, is when fellow developers think of themselves as a higher being because they know a few more tricks of the trade than us middle grade coders. I have been doing this since I was 14, I am now 22 and earn a living designing, hosting, and coding websites.

Now it's your turn,
Take a step back and just imagine a world that didn't have any of me. Maybe you wouldn't be so ornery?
