I just finished using a few regular expression search/replaces to turn data from a spreadsheet (copied as text into tab delimited data) into 90% accurate source code. 5 searches, one for unchecked bool, one for checked bool, one for string data, one for integer data, one for float data.

This is something I do regularly. Take formatted data from another source, and use regular expressions to do 90% of the work to make it functional code. Gotta love it. About 126 lines of data that would have taken ages converted to code in a few minutes of careful thinking.

I just got through using a few quick expressions to parse through code, fix line endings and fix 5-10 bugs in C++ code that was roughly 2200 lines long, It's simply irreplaceable.

I mean it's so easy to write!
