I tried to upload a recording file of MTS onto facebook.But it said is was not the right type of the file. Maybe i have to convert this MTS file to other video formats to upload it.
I wonder which video formats should be converted to?and what programme should i have?

You're going to have to convert it to some format other than M2TS, like AVI, MOV or something else that Facebook supports. I dunno what specific formats they accept, so you'll have to check that.
