Ok, I've had this idea now for about 9 or so months at least and my original partner kept pushing it back and back and back 'til I just said F it and I cant wait any longer..It's been very tough to find a partner for this site and i cant figure out why??

First off you should have a big interest in rap music and this site is 100% rap oriented..This site is sort-of a spin-off of rateyourmusic.com but WAY more user-oriented. The reason why I'm looking for a partner rather than just paying someone to do the actual coding and site design is b/c I wanna share the profit with someone, thats just me and I dont feel like laying out thousands to a programmer when we can both make that back easily, in my opinion.

Basically you should be heavy into rap music #1..and I need someone who is basically and expert in php/databases since this site will have twitter invoked and every rap album ever made invoked into the site..I dont want to get to far involved in mentioning the details on here b/c I dont want the idea to get stolen of course. So if your qualified pm me and ill get back to you!!

Well, I think I can explain why you aren't getting many takers. You're asking a programmer to share your risk on a site that may not make any money, or could become a massive time sink. I'm not into rap, and would seriously question whether I would make ANY money off this, after hosting costs were factored in.

thanks for ur response, well its 2 way, one, I could just hire someone and they would get a one-time payment + additional payments for certain updates or..2, they could become partners and help me design the site and get 50% of the full income that the site makes from day one til the day the site is done with...In my case I would rather have a programmer as my partner for a few reasons, to have him right there when I need him, to share 50% of the money b/c I feel their worth it and 3, to save myself from all the upfront costs such as paying for a programmer and hosting..In this case we would just have to pay for hosting and a domain, etc.. and the starting costs would be minimal-ed. Of course not making money is a concern but I feel this is a really good idea with a huge audience online & if you dont wanna take the time risk then move on..thanks
