Hi, I have been looking around and replying to a couple of threads here and there, but havent gotten any projects. I am interested in web design and know HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. I am looking to gather a nice portfolio while getting some experience as well. I would like to possibly find either some one who needs help making a website from scratch, improving an already built website or just some one like me that wants to start a few projects that may or may not actually be websites but can still fit in a portfolio.

So just post whatever you got, and lets get some projects on the way.

If you want, have a look at the "Building a Large Project" tutorial series I started and see where you can go with it. I was just building a site for storing fan fiction and original fiction.

I suggest you try Craigslist, thats where I got my first few websites made, then again though I did it pretty cheap at $300 ,but its a good way to start. That way you have full control on what the website looks like and the fun of making it from scratch.

Really? I'm always thinking I need to have some super knowledge on PHP and MySQL to start doing those. Do you have any samples of the websites you made for 300$ so I can have an idea? Feel free to PM me if it is in any way confidential and I will keep it that way.

off craigslist. He knew exactly what he wanted though.

!The only problem I hear about craigslist is that you might not get paid. So make sure that you don't hand over the website or work something out so you know that your going to get your money.

You may be my saviour :P I've created a site for the Minecraft community at The Skindex ~ Free Minecraft Skins however one of the biggest blocks for me right now is the design for the upload form. I have 0 artistic or creative talent, so its driving me nuts :P Maybe you could help? Be more than happy to give you credit for it, the old site gets 3000+ hits on a slow day.

but yeah im the same way, I usually find a graphic designer to go 50/50 w/ me on any project i do. Though now im slowly learning graphic design. It's not that hard once you know all the tools, but there's no way I can be as good as the guy im currently working with.
