Does Amazon.com provide an API like Ebay?

I have been trying to figure out if AWS http://aws.amazon.com/ provides that same type of functionality.

So is there an API to upload to, download and get information about Amazon? For example is there an API that will let me check the price of the Avatar DVD using my custom built .NET application?
