I have just finished my course in basic C++ syntax, from what I have heard it's time for me to go into Windows API programming. Are their any free online resources to begin this project? I plan to pick up a book soon, but I would like to start as soon as possible and I am crunched for $ at this time. (Wish I could start freelancing!) ^^

Also, does anyone know of some sort of mentoring I could receive? I want to be able to produce the best code possible, as I am also trying to pursue this as a permanant career.

Any and all help is very much appreciated.

Yes, try the Forger's Win32 API tutorial. It's what I started out with. (Note that it was at least 6 years ago, so it may have been surpassed since.)
