I have heard many things such as Computer Science, but are there other majors out there that are specifically related to programming? And are these majors very common at colleges? Thanks for the help.

Computer Science is the main one, though Computer Engineering and MIS also overlap it.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.

Yeah I've thought about Computer Engineering but I like to deal with software more than I like to deal with hardware.

Sounds interesting, do many colleges offer it? I have to go to a college within 50 miles of my house lol cuz my parents are making me commute.

some colleges offer software engineering or computer science. mine only offered cs, which was a bummer, because the low level stuff did not interest me at all.
