I installed Ubuntu Jaunty and went through the process of updating to lucid and there was no problems, but recently I felt like wiping my hardrive and installing lucid from the ISO. adobe flash crashes in both firefox and chromium. I need a way to fix this, or if there is no fix please tell me. It pisses me off not having youtube or pandora to listen to music or the ability to watch movies. thank you :)

That is your problem, You need to install the compatible package from Ubuntu's package manager. Go to Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center and search for flash, Or install it in Synaptics. This should work flawlessly, although I've not used Ubuntu in years.
Good luck!

already tried that, flashplugin-nonfree IS the one from adobe, just in the ubuntu repo
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
not sure if it will work, i just did a clean install of ubuntu 10.04lts again :) just hoping when i get on that machine, that it works flawlessly
