Not much a fan of web development but i thought id give it a shot.
I agreed to do my first commercial website for free for a young entrepreneur in Scotland. Just so theres little pressure and i can get the experience.
He wants an ecommerce site and weve both agreed paypal is the best solution.
MY question is this.
From what i understand, an ssl certificate embeds itself in your website and encrypts sensitive data like passwords, credit cards etc.
Is an ssl certificate necessary for a site that only uses paypal as a payment method?
( i chose paypal because ive no experience, might consider others later in life)
if theres any other information anyone thinks could be usefull i'd really appreciate it.
ssl with paypal
