All right,
I found a job where database knowledge is required.
I was told that I can take a college course or learn it on my own. I figured I'll be able to do it on my own and was wondering if you guys could help me pick a book to start with.

This is what they told me to know:

- - SQL and relational database design
-- IIS
- - C#.Net, asp.net, html and css
- - Monitoring of .Net web applications

Looks like these are four different topics. Am I correct ?
Can I learn all of them (the basics of course) of all these four topics by reading one SQL database book?
Can you please tell me where I should start ?

Thanks,

yes, those are four different topics. or actually 7 topics.
I suggest you start off learning plain html and css as one thing. a good page for this is W3Schools Online Web Tutorials
then start learning some sql, they have good tutorials on that page for sql as well.
later on, start experimenting with C#.net in asp.net on IIS. For that, I have no suggestion, as I'm not into that world (yet)

IIS just a presentation mechanism. Of all the items, it will be easiest to learn.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.
