I like features of Macmillan English Dictionary software and inspired from it, i want to make Arabic-English dictionary with similar features. Here I want to provide following features to user for arabic - English dictionary.

[1] sound playback for arabic word
[2] textual meaning in English for arabic word and pictures for word if possible as in pictorial dictionary
[3] onscreen keyboard to type arabic word for query using English key board or any other option to solve this problem
[4] user bookmarks on learnt words or facility to allow user to add comments on words
[5] facility to add new words, images, and sound from user side
[6] multiple words query such as all words with three letters using *** (user defined query)
[6] mp3 conversation of sounds of selected words by user to allow more listening practice on i-pod while journey
[7] printout of text of selected words (textual result of user defined query)

first thing is to learn how to handle UTF-8, which has arabic letters to print as easy as possible.
