This guy takes a great approach to programming. Most tutorials teach you a language, and how to use it, and start of writing a "hello world" program. This guy teacher you in depth what everything does, and how your computer is using what you're writing, and explaining it down to the binary before even introducing what language you're working with.

He focuses on teaching people to write their OWN programs, instead of just doing things that have already been done, and just learning a language.

He has his whole programming course on reddit.com: what's new online! in his own subreddit.

I was kinda sketchy doing a "course" with no videos, no audio, just text.

I got through a few lessons and was HOOKED!

He gives you like 10 lessons, then gives you a quiz over it, then 10 more, another quiz.

Each lesson is short! Best part is that reddit isn't blocked at school and I can do this at home and school.

These are all text and on their own page so you can take AS LONG AS YOU NEED! And you can post any questions in the comment section and there is a small team of people waiting to answer questions.

His tutorials are using C, but like always, if you learn programming in one language, it makes it easy to move to another.

Great for beginners, and his later lessons move on to advanced stuff.
