Hello CodeCall,
My name is Defeat Yourself. In short, I am a young student looking to revive my interest in programming languages. In the past I was a self-taught whiz of HTML (at my prime I was making some ridiculous image maps), but sadly a few years without practice have set me below the novice bar once again. I would like to change this though and I have found this site in an attempt to do so.
In my introduction I would also like to make a request: I am looking for somebody who could 'Show me the ropes'. A sensei to my grasshopper perhaps. I need somebody who could teach me the basics of programming and answer questions I may have. I also wouldn't mind someone who could design teaching projects. In return I hope I could offer my skill in performing some of the 'grunt work' involved with programming. I am willing to dedicate my time if you can dedicate yours. I have a few short term goals that I am seeking to achieve, including re-making my schools website over the next two years.
My credentials:
- An intermediate knowledge of HTML
- A thriving interest
- Plausible goals
As you can see, I don't have much to offer but one day I hope to put 'Master Programmer' in that list. If you are interested in forming this relationship, please PM me!
As for the rest of CodeCall, I hope we can get to know each other!
Your new member,
Defeat Yourself
Allow me to introduce myself.

Welcome to CodeCall, Hope you find someone. :)
BTW: You should say what language you want to learn.

Thanks!
I guess that falls under my first question because I'm not sure:
What language(s) should I learn?
For redesigning my school's website purpose I would think Java Script would be the right option, but there are plenty of languages to learn from and I'm not sure which would be most suited.
