I just got a laptop on saturday, and the IE doesn't work with wireless.
The laptop requires me to have a card wifi adapter in it to get wifi (And I have it plugged in).
But the IE won't "connect", The internet on the computer will connect but it won't show on IE.
Their was an error report and it asked if I wanted to send it, so I hit yes, the report takes internet to be sent, it sent fine, so I know the computer gets the wifi.

Also I don't have a router, I just get internet through the air. Once I get IE to work I'm probably going to upgrade to Firefox.
How do I make IE connect to the internet?
I have made sure all firewalls are off.

Umm..... Get WiFi through the air? How do you do that? Ive never heard of that. Also make sure your not in offline mode, and your internet connection is secure, because when my secure conection becomes unsecure this some times prevents me from loging into MSN which might prevent your from IE. IDK just some idea's. :)

I live in apartments, some people have strong routers, so I pickup their signal.

I'm not in offline mode and have a fine connection, just a problem with IE.

Hmm... OK try opening IE and going to Tools>Internet Options>Connections(its a tab) and see if its set to pick up a wireless connection.

Easiest step: open a console and type "ping www.google.com". If you get ping responses, you're connected to the internet.

I have no clue what a console is.

I put it in Command Prompt and it printed out a whole bunch of stuff, so yeah. Did you try my second idea?
