Hello All,
I was wondering if I could stream live audio and/or visual to a server. For example, if I had a Dell PowerEdge (let's make it a R710) could I have an attachment (preferably software but hardware would be fine) that allows this?
Also, could I apply this to CCTV?
Thanks.

Do you mean like streaming to a server that then records it.
Thats easy.
Just take VLC on the computer with the camera and the server.
On the computer open the VLC streaming wizard go through it- then find out your computers IP (if you're doing this over the internet make sure your router won't block it)
Then on the server open vlc Open File enter your IP with the port e.g. 124.673.529.23:4000 make sure you tell VLC to save a copy of it and you're done.

Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).
