When I left my house today I had MS wordpad open in winXP and some extremely important stuff written down. I was in a rush and didn't have time to save it so I just left it open.
When I came home the wordpad that was running and had this stuff written down is nowhere to be found. My guess is that my mother somehow closed it when she was vaccuimng.
Is there any way to recover this? It is EXTREMELY important, if I can't get this back my whole semester goes down the toilet. Please help!!
Could it still be in the RAM or pagefile?
recovering a file - please help very important

Good luck with that... Wordpad doesn't have any autosave or auto-recovery features and doesn't create temporary files. Consider yourself extremely lucky if you are able to get it back...
Whatever you do, don't restart your computer until you have either got it back or given up. That will certainly destroy any chance you might have to recover it
