Hi, I want to know how I can become better at designing my website. I am not that good at designing websites or structuring the process.

Any tips?

Ok, what languages do you know?
Are you a graphic designer?
Do you have any graphic design skills?
Can you post a link to one of your sites?

Don't use tables for layouts, even at the bare minimum use the div tag.

Well, I do the web programming in php mysql which works out pretty well. But I can't get the results that I want for the graphic design. And when I hate it when I have to get it compatible with different web browsers (IE).

What do you mean? Like you are trying to put images in a database?

And, to be compatible with all browsers,
You will never be fully compatible with ALL browsers but, don't always go for the new stuff (html 5) wait alittle until most major browsers support it then start to use it.

The best idea is to learn is some website tutorial, there are many sites that can help to be a better web designer. Then make some effort to make a personal template and design that show yourself compatible to that site.
