Hi,

I need to capture a still image from multiple cameras simultaneously. I will be using webcams, possibly having an internal memory. I was thinking about firing all webcams simultaneously to obtain a single, still image, and then saving the image into the cameras' internal memory. Once saved, I can download each image (not necessarily simultaneously this time) onto my computer's hard disk.

I do not necessarily need all cameras to be perfectly synchronized since the subject I will be capturing can stay still for a few seconds. Can this be done? If yes, can someone please guide me on which software/programming language to use? I do have knowledge of some programming languages, but never really tried to create an application such as this one (so I'm not really sure on how to start!).
