As somebody who specializes in web apps, I don't know too much about languages like Java and C/C++ - But I'd like to. I've got a handle on how to create basic apps with GUI's in each of these languages... but now I'd like to start working on something more custom than tutorials and books go for.
Specifically I'd like to learn more about the technique that brings a browser into an application and then interacts with it.
I'd love to know what this technique is called.
Thanks in advance for your help!
What is this technique called?

It's not a so common technique. Yet there is a control in Visual Studio and Delphi9 that lets you do what you want. It's called "Web Browser".

I believe it's using a COM interface, but don't quote me on that.
