I am currently 30 years old I am married I have a 3 year old daughter and I love video games. I used to have a q-basic programming book by my computer when I was 10-12 and sadly I am not only rusty But Its obsolete.

I am currently trying to learn either C++ , or Java I am planning on going back to school for videogame programming.

I am a fan of the old TURN BASED RPG'S and after thus am pursuing a carier in programing. I want to bring 8-32 Turn based rpg's back. OH YAH.!!!:D

Java does make it easier to move into C++ if you are entirely new to programming. But since you already have some of the core concepts of programming down (if you remember them (I am assuming you read that book)) I would go straight into C or C++.
