Greetings CodeCall members,

I've been a lurker of the forums for a couple weeks but finally decided to signup this afternoon. I've been progressively working through Kevin Skoglund's video tutorials through Lynda.com on PHP Essentials, and we're into creating a very simple CMS at the moment. I'm enjoying PHP; I definitely see the power and benefit of it, and I can already see part of how I'm going to develop the things I want to develop.

That said, I'm going to mainly use this forum to ask for assistance with some of my code, clarifying points of misunderstanding, and so on. I'm finding the learning part of PHP kind of monotonous without a friend or other people able to weigh in on my progress and clarify issues for me.

Also, I'm hoping to help other new PHP programmers as well by answering their questions as they arrise.

Anyways, this is probably too long as is so I'll wrap it up ;-)

I'm from Toronto Canada, my fiance loves our hamster more than me, and I like long walks on the beach.

Cheers!
