How to make .doc, .ppt file be viewable on website?

I want to display .doc and .ppt file on website, but I can't figure out any solution.

In what sense do you want to display them? Making them available for download is just a matter of providing the link. If you want a more controlled display, that's another matter.

Providing the link to download is very easy, I want visitors can see preview before they decide to download. Could u show me how to do that ?

You would need to convert a section of the document to HTML, an image, or something else. Saving MS Office documents as HTML is quite easy.

Of course, I know that we must convert them to various type of file, for example: swf, html, video. but I wish I can create PHP script which help me convert automatically. Can u help me !
