I'm not quite sure if this is the right section, but I thought I'll give it a shot ;)

I would like to ask someone who has some free time on their hands to try and analyze this 3d model file format .mdl and attempt to make a simple converter which would convert it to .fbx or any other format which supports all geometry (skeleton, bones).

Basically, this .mdl format is from game called Runescape and it's not same as .mdl model formats for quake or half-life.

We currently do have a simple software called DATMaker which imports Runescape's .mdl file, but it only exports it as .mqo (for metaseq software) and that's the problem as the .mqo format does not support the geometry (skeleton, bones) and so only the mesh is exported.

I have attached one .mdl NPC model file, if you want to see the DATMaker I talked about earlier, just google "DATMaker runescape download" and you will find it, if not then ask and I will upload it as well.

If you have any questions please ask.

EDIT:
I've attached a .rar with few .mdl dragon models as it doesn't allow to attach .mdl directly.

Thanks
