1) The Selling of CodeCall

CodeCall is for sale! CodeCall has been around for a long time, but one thing has never changed, the loving forum owner Jordan has always been here. Jordan and his wife are now looking at a lifestyle change with babies in the future, believing he will not have enough time to manage the site he is looking at selling the website. He has assured us he will still be around as an active member. The sale of CodeCall is a bit of a shock to some of us but we should all agree with Jordan’s decision and hope for the best with the new owner, possible a different outlook that could really get the forum to its full potential. 2) Contest 8 Results

In our last newsletter we talked about the CodeCall Contest #8 that was going on. The contest ended earlier this month on the 13th. One of our active members even had a countdown to the end of the contest. Vswe received the 1st prize of $100 for earning over 1,200 points and submitting over 50 tutorials! Chili5 received 2nd place with 1,070 points and over 40 tutorials, way go to Chili! Last but not least Dargueta came in 3rd place with a amazing 400 points and 20 submitted tutorials! Good job to our winners, and good luck to all the members of future contests! To read more on this click here.

3) New Ruby Forum

CodeCall is changing every day. The moderators and admins added a new forum section “Ruby” under “Web Development”. There had been lots of discussions about this language and they decided to go ahead and add a forum for us all to ramble in. Do you know Ruby? Do you have any Ruby questions? Visit the forum here!

4) Forum Goals Nearing Completion

Along with this new forum we are also less than 2,000 threads away from out 20,000 thread goal, so get posting! Some other of CodeCall’s goals would be 1,000 blogs (about 40% complete), another 1,000 wiki pages(about 32% complete), and of course 300,000 posts(about 72% complete)! The most up to date and accurate listings on these details are listed on the right panel on any CodeCall forum page.

Unsure about something?

5) CodeCall has turned 4

CodeCall is celebrating it 4 year birthday! On October 19th, 2005, the pages of CodeCall were open to the public, at first nobody thought it would succeed but proving everybody wrong like the little engine that could, it is now successful and prosperous over 4 years later! There are many active members that have contributed a lot but there are some in particular that have been here a very long time and helped CodeCall succeed when it was first starting in 2005. Some of these members include WingedPanther, John, xXHalfSliceXx, and Amrosama.Codecall.net - Power of the moo-stash! Mootools. All of these members have been around a lot and have played a great part in CodeCall’s wonderful success as a community. To read more on Codecall's birthday click here.

6) Thankful CodeCallers

Everybody is thinking about different things they are grateful for this Holiday season. Some of the most popular answers among CodeCallers included Family and Friends, The Internet, and of course Religion. Everybody has many things to be grateful for even if you are not celebrating Thanksgiving this time of year, and it's good to be reminded of these things. If you would like to see what others posted or to post some things you are grateful for yourself please see the topic here.
