Well, I've actually been on this forum for a couple weeks now, but I just thought I'd do an introduction, seeing as I haven't done one yet. My name is Mike. I'm a 20 year old loser who goes to a community college and pushes carts for a job. I do programming mostly as a hobby, though I am taking classes in it as well, and with the job market the way it is it looks like it's going to be strictly a hobby for a while. My programming "career" started on May 20, 2009 when I decided to get a job as a web designer. I subsequently learned HTML and CSS, then moved on to Javascript. Eventually I branched out and studied other areas, including SQL, Java, computer hardware, algorithms and data structures, TCP/IP, XML, and Unix. I'm hoping to be a Unix sysadmin sometime soon, so I'm planning to get A+, Network+, and Security+. Overall, I find computer science fascinating and am an obsessive coder, and I hope this forum feeds my obsession, as well as giving me the opportunity to meet other programmers, something I don't have the opportunity to do IRL.
A late introduction

Welcome to the forum. :)
I believe Red Hat has a number of certifications also.
What flavor of *nix do you prefer?
Do you have a Linuxbox right now?
If so what distro are you using?
Lots of Linux users here on the forum :D
