hey thanks to the admins for the nice welcome ^_^ , im not a coder at all but i want to learn i asked one of my friends and they suggested to join a community like this to help me allong the way, was just wondering i want to make applications that help me and ofc others but also want to make small games for fun but not too sure i thought of taking up C or C++ but i dont have any programming knowledge at all so not sure if it is a wise idea what do you guys think?

Hey Xscript, welcome to CodeCall! C/C++ is a fine language for making games and learning how to program. You have many choices and there is no right or wrong answer.

thanks for the quick reply =] you think id be able to learn C even without any programming knowledge ? since i have seen a few books in amazon.com but they all expect you to have some programming knowledge

I'd download Thinking in C++ (by Bruce Eckel) and the MinGW C++ compiler and go to town :)
