I am trying to make a small program that will output a PDF file that my reps can send to their clients via email.

Due to the constant change in my staff, i just want to make a program that generates their details onto an already created template.

Is is possible to have a couple of text boxes to fill out with their personal detail, click generate Emailer and away we go, a PDF file to attach?

O and btw as you can see im still pretty new to this :o my bad.

I am using Visual Basic express 2008.

Regards
Sav.

Here is one possible solution.... Download PrimoPDF, it's a free program that looks like a printer, but when you print it makes a nice PDF file.... Then, either place those blank fields you talked about in a word document, or you could even write your program you're talking about, and just send the output to the printer.

I know with Adobe professional you can make PDF "forms" which are identical to HTML pages except it's in PDF format, but basically it can have input box fields. I think you can put XML data to make this load dynamically too, not too sure.

That would be best if you can afford Adobe Acrobat. Another free option is to use OpenOffice. It supports saving directly to PDF, and you could update your form easily that way.

Or you can use Ghostscript in your program, an interpreter for the PostScript language and for PDF, like PDFCreator does... .
