Hey guys,

i have made a small website devoted to very popular game - worlds hardest game 1 and 2. I have included walk-through for both games.

The site is coded in plain HTML, since it is not intended to grow that much. What I would like to know is what do you think about the template, and how could I make this site more appealing to lower the bounce rate. Here's the link:
worlds hardest game

Any review is a good one, knock yourself out.

Note: flash game is on the homepage (700kB), so if you have dial-up internet connection, you might want to skip the review, if you don't want to wait.

Thanks, John

i like it
but IMO i think the background color doesnt look good on the menus and header color
yo homie i heard you like one-line codes so i put a one line code that evals a decrypted one line code that prints "i love one line codes"
eval(base64_decode("cHJpbnQgJ2kgbG92ZSBvbmUtbGluZSBjb2Rlcyc7"));

I have just tried different background colors, and black is the best for me. Anyone has some suggestions?

Your organization's Internet use policy restricts access to this web page at this time.

Reason:

The Websense category "Games" is filtered.

URL:

http://www.worlds-hardest-game.com/

After going through a proxy, I like the design. I hate that there is a movie or flash or whatever that is in the middle that automatically loads. If I were at home on my slow connection I would immediately click back. Something to consider.

I have just changes the background to near black. It looks better for me now.

@Jordan: Sorry to hear about block.

The reason why there is a flash loading is because the site is about the flash game - worlds hardest game. People want to play this game when they come to my site, and why would I add one more click to get to it?

At today's internet broadband speeds, more and more flash games websites are putting bigger images to intice players to play games. (here is a hint: playhub.com). Anyway this game is relatively small ~ 770 kB, which loads in 3 seconds, which is fast for a flash game.

Thanks

The idea is though that people on a dial-up connection may get tired of waiting for your page to load. They may leave and go look for the walkthrough somewhere else. Perhaps they just want a walkthrough and don't want to play the game?

You are mixing things up. I said that people from this forum, who are interested in reviewing my website, but have dialup, might want to reconsider reviewing, because there is a flash game on the first page which loads automatically.

As for players, there is page on my website that has embedded videos of game walk-through (from myspace and youtube) which loads when user press play.

I like the website, it's clean and kept simple. Even tho I hate the game itself :D

One suggestion: why don't you use a splash image where you have to click once and it'll insert the flash with ajax. Isn't that a compromiss? ^^

Hmm, never thought about that. Thanks for the advice. I'll look into that.
