You can use Open Office. It can save files in PDF format.

MS Office 2007 also can save files in pdf forma, and I think it's a good choice.

This topic had been useful to me. I did not know that you can save files in PDF from Open Office. Now i'm at work but when i get home this is the first thing i'll try/test
