Hello everyone,
I just signed up to this forum today after I have been lurking for a while. I am a 20 year old guy from Denmark.
So far it seems like a nice place here with lots of information, and I look forward to learning more and contributing back with what I learn.
Regards,
Xility

Don't let amrosama play with it!!! :sad:
He doesn't know his own strength.
Here is what the last cat looked like after
he was done "playing with it". :worry:

Thanks for the welcome to the rest of you too :)
@debtboy - Well if that is true, then there is no chance I will let amrosama near it! Thank you for telling me :D
@amrosama - NO! :p
@Jordan - Phew, now this is going to be a rather long story. I know a myriad of different programming languages, but I do not feel like I know many of them in the depth (yet).
My first encounter with programming was around 1999-2000 where I received an old computer from my school (an IBM PS/2). It was running MS-DOS 6.2 and Windows 3.1 and I played around with it for a while until I figured out how the system worked. I also found a little program called QBASIC, which I tried to make programs with. In the end I gave up because the manual was in English, and I did not understand english at that time.
Sometime around 2001 I took part of an experiment at my school. Every week I would spend three hours working in a company with programming and electronics. Here I learned to program in Turbo Pascal and C++, but not so well. After I was done three years later I slowly forgot everything again.
In 2005 I switched a new school, where I finally could get to use the internet! This chance I used for learning HTML and CSS (if you want to call those programming languages) and a bit of PHP/MySQL. Some years later I decided that I wanted to build my own operating system for the x86, so for a while I learned assembly (FASM syntax) and build a basic operating system, with a basic shell, could run two programs off the disk and a bit more behind the scenes.
In 2009 I had a technology-related course where I worked with programming ATMEL microprocessors, building electronic circuits and controlling self-build robots. Here I learned some more C programming. This year I also finished in school too, and at the moment I am taking a long holiday. I am using this time to look into C programming again, hopefully this time I will learn it more in the depth.
I hope my English is good enough to make myself understandable ^^
